“Ain’t Gonna Lie, He’s a Pretty Great Quarterback”- Las Vegas Raiders Star in Awe of Josh Allen

Jon Gruden’s Las Vegas Raiders pulled off a surprise win against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Five. Derek Carr and Co. registered a major upset as they beat the reigning champions by a 32-40 scoreline at the Arrowhead Stadium last weekend.

The win against the Chiefs marked their third win of the season, breaking a streak of 2 losses. However, a certain Las Vegas Raiders star is of the opinion that the best is yet to come.

Johnathan Abram heaps praise on Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen

Las Vegas Raiders’ safety, Johnathan Abram, spoke about Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on a recent SiriusXM Radio episode. Here’s what he said about Allen, who led the Bills to a 30-23 win over the Raiders in Week Four.

“I ain’t gonna lie, he (Josh Allen) is a pretty great quarterback. He pretty much, especially against us, he didn’t force anything. He did a really great job of coming up to the line of scrimmage, just handling the front and calling the protections out.”

“He did a really good job with just controlling the tempo and controlling the game, but he has a huge arm, too. I will say that,”

Abram said on the show.

When the plays come, they come in abundance, warns Las Vegas Raiders star

After a disheartening loss to the Bills, the morale was low in the Raiders dressing room. However, Abram revealed that Derek Carr and the rest of the Raiders players continued to believe in their abilities.

Here’s his insight on playing against quarterbacks such as Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

He said, “The only thing I told myself is you gotta play deep-to-short. That’s it. Cause if you don’t, he will throw the bomb. I mean, that’s when we went into the game, that’s the one thing that we said, if we had no big plays, we win the game.

“Because if you go back and you watch that offense over the past two years, that’s pretty much how they thrive. They have big plays and when the big plays come, they come in abundance. And before you know it, they’ll be up on you 21-0, 28-7.”

The Raiders have the week off for now. They will use this time to prepare for a Week Seven clash against Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Derek Carr will hope the confidence from the Chiefs’ win will propel his team to another level. Coach Jon Gruden will back Carr, Henry Ruggs III, and the rest of his offensive stars to challenge the Buccaneers next Sunday.
