The entertainment personality-turned-Trivago guy (Sean Borg) looked every inch the celebrity, as he arrived coolly dressed in a trendy camouflage-style jacket by John Varvatos, ripped blue jeans, with a pair of cool “Ace GG Supreme” (Gucci) sneakers with gold bumblebees, and a stylish “GG” Gucci belt with trendy prayer beads around his neck that completed his high-end casual look.
Sean attended the “Paper Gods” concert with a good friend — skincare celebrity Sabastian Reich. The pair were spotted dancing away at the side of the stage to well-known hits Rio, Wild Boys, and Planet Earth.
The former “TMZ on TV” reporter told Verna Magazine, backstage at the band’s after-party: “I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen Duran Duran perform live. So I was delighted to get a surprise text from my friend Roger (Taylor) on the morning of my birthday, reminding me I had tickets waiting for me at the box office.
“I’ve loved them since Planet Earth, and I still can’t get enough of Girls on Film and Wild Boys. Their music never gets old for me.”
“I pinch myself sometimes when I’m watching them play because I know them well now and have done for many years. But I guess they will always be my pop-idols,” he said.
The “Paper Gods” brought the perfect mix of new songs and their legendary hits from the 80s and 90s, offering fans a 90-minute set in an arena-style stage setting but with an intimate theater vibe giving hit super-groups like Duran Duran an opportunity to connect to their fans in an unprecedented and special experience.
Duran Duran formed in Birmingham (UK) in 1978. The band was one of the most successful acts of the 1980s, but by the end of the decade, music style changes challenged the bands staying power, however, they had a massive resurgence in the early 1990s with hits Come Undone and Ordinary World.
After the gig, Sean celebrated his birthday with a glass of champagne and posed for pictures with drummer Roger Taylor and keyboardist Nick Rhodes (pictured), both of whom he has known since in the mid-nineties.
