Buddy Hield is having a solid season with the Sacramento Kings. Hield was one of the more underrated prospects from the 2017 NBA draft. However, after a few seasons in the league, it appears that Hield is coming into his own as a player.
He is often making big shots for the Kings despite their poor record. And now, Buddy Hield has etched his name in the history books.
Buddy Hield makes history with three-point shot
During the Kings‘ game against the Charlotte Hornets, Buddy Hield scored the 1000th three-pointer of his career. He achieved this feat in just 350 games.
This means that he surpasses Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, and Klay Thompson to become the fastest player to score 1000 three-pointers in the NBA.
It is an impressive accomplishment for Hield to beat the players listed above. Hield’s three-point shot is one of the best in the league, and his prowess from beyond the arc is not spoken about in such high regard as compared to others. But Hield continues to show that he could be one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA at the moment.

Hield entered the NBA in 2017. He went sixth overall to the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA Draft. However, the Pelicans got rid of him within one season in a trade for Demarcus Cousins.
This is despite the fact that Hield was named to the All-Rookie first team. Since joining the Kings, Hield has slowly been improving his game and becoming one of the best shooters in the league.
Hield – Consistent Three-Point Shot
Last season, Buddy Hield was selected to take part in the NBA Three-Point contest on All-Star weekend. Thanks to his spectacular performances during the season, Hield was chosen to be part of the elite crew.
Hield was extremely impressive during the contest and ended up winning over some of the best shooters in the NBA, including Duncan Robinson and Trae Young.

Can Buddy Hield eventually match players like Steph Curry and Damian Lillard with his three-point shooting? It remains to be seen, but in his young career so far, he has put up numbers even they would envy.
Hield, despite his young age, is proving that he is one of the most consistent shooters in the NBA today.
