‘Giannis Disrespect Tour’: Twitter Erupts as Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo is Called for a Questionable Flagrant Foul

NBA 2K21 Player Ratings Update: Fans React as LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo's Ratings Downgraded

The Milwaukee Bucks‘ Giannis Antetokounmpo is on the bad side of the refs once again. In just the second quarter of their game against the Los Angeles Lakers, he has already drawn his first foul against Montrezl Harrell. While some believe that he deserved it, the NBA Twitter World has a very different opinion on the matter.

Twitter unhappy with the foul call on Giannis

As the Bucks trailed behind the Lakers in the second quarter, their star player wanted to take it up a notch. However, in the process, Giannis ended up with a flagrant foul against Harrell.

Giannis was characteristically driving the lane, looking to score a basket. Instead, he crashed into Harrell, and his elbow knocked the latter to the ground.

First, the play was declared as an offensive foul but then changed to a flagrant foul. There’s no denying that the Greek Freak is known to be a rough and dominant player, but this time, many people have questioned the call.

Are the Bucks capable enough to take on the Lakers?

Until the Los Angeles Lakers locked horns with the Golden State Warriors, they looked invincible in the league. However, the dubs ended their five game winning streak after recovering from a 19-point deficit.

Needless to say, winning against the Bucks is essential for them to make a statement.

Even though this is the first time the Bucks and Lakers are facing each other, they are not disappointing anyone. They have the audience glued to their screen, watching LeBron James and Giannis go head to head with each other for this significant win.

The purple and gold may be leading so far, but Milwaukee isn’t making it any easier for them. Before this game, Giannis received a lot of criticism for not taking the responsibility of handling the rival teams’ big players. He is proving that wrong in this game with his effective defensive skills against LeBron James.

As the game is progressing, both teams look desperate for the win. The Bucks and Lakers are two of the top teams of their conferences, just like last season. This matchup will be about asserting dominance over the other and helping themselves further up the board.
