"I'm the Best Boxer in UFC"- Max Holloway Uses Halle Berry's Tweet in a Hilarious Retweet

Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway is a striker par excellence. His striking caliber is very well recognized in the UFC. If his performance against Calvin Kattar is anything to go by, he can easily become one of the best strikers in the promotion.

After his match with Kattar, he proclaimed himself as the “best boxer” in front of the commentary team of UFC. Also, he has not shied away from letting Halle Berry know the same.

The 54-year-old actress posted a photo of herself on Twitter, asking her fans to tell her something that she doesn’t know. In response, Holloway had a few words of his own to say. He said, ” I’m the best boxer in UFC babyyyyy”

In his fight against Kattar, ‘Blessed’ put up a performance for the ages. He decimated ‘The Boston Finisher’ in a 5-round war by registering an astonishing 445 significant strike.

‘Blessed’ surpassed his own previously held record, which he forged against Brian Ortega in 2018. He had landed 290 significant strikes during his clash against Ortega.

The key highlight from this match was Kattar’s dominance, which he showcased while negating Kattar’s punches. He controlled the match and won via unanimous decision, scoring 50-43, 50-43, 50-42.

Max Holloway had entered his UFC Fight Island 7 headlining matchup against Calvin Kattar on a two-fight losing streak. Holloway suffered back-to-back losses to current UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, with his most recent fight being a split decision loss to Volkanovski in July 2020.

Why does Max Holloway consider himself the best?

Max Holloway has consistently showcased his boxing skills against some of the biggest names in the UFC.

He has knockout victories over the likes of Charles Oliveira, Jose Aldo, Anthony Pettis, and many more. But that is not the only reason Holloway thinks he is the best boxer in the promotion.

While in an interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Holloway stressed that boxing is more about angles and IQ than punching prowess, which is why he claims himself to be the best boxer. He draws some parallels with Floyd Mayweather while comparing his technique.

It may be safe to assume Holloway is the best boxer in the UFC, considering his stats.
