Kelly Dodd makes transphobic comments in Cameo video

Kelly Dodd may not be a “Housewife” anymore, but she’s still stirring the pot.

The former “RHOC” star, 45, was paid $100 to give someone named Jennifer a shout-out for her birthday via Cameo, but instead gave her an earful of transphobia.

“This is Jennifer ‘she/her,’ I don’t get this,” Dodd began. “You’re either a boy or a girl, OK?”

“You’re born a girl or a boy,” she continued. “I don’t get it. You’re Jennifer. I’m sorry, I don’t give a f–k.”

Dodd’s husband, Rick Leventhal, tried to divert her attention away from her rant, which then veered (further) off course.

Dodd remarked that she was at a “billion-dollar house” that wasn’t serving food — which she found offensive — and complimented Jennifer that her daughter was going to medical school while her own teenage daughter, Jolie, was “lazy” and couldn’t even open a door.

“I’m off the show, so thank you for giving this to me,” she laughed before the video ended.

Dodd posted an apology Thursday afternoon following the backlash to her comments.

“I’ve been doing Cameos now for two years and I never saw the pronoun thing before,” she explained on Instagram. “This was the first time I saw a reference of he/him/she/they/them. I grew up, I grew up in Arizona with people who were born a boy and a girl and maybe a hermaphrodite here and there.

Dodd continued, “When I was reading the Cameo I saw the pronouns and we’d been drinking and I was just reacting in my own raw and unfiltered way. I want to be very, very clear about this. That I accept everyone for who they are. I accept everyone for who they want to be and who they believe themselves to be and I don’t hate on anyone. I’m not transphobic. I was just unfamiliar with the language.”

She added later, “If you want me to be tolerant, then you also need to be tolerant of me. That’s only fair. And I’m learning and I’m growing and maybe you can help me with this.”

It’s another entry in Dodd’s lengthy list of faux-pas: Most recently, she was forced to apologize for claiming her “RHOC” nemesis Heather Dubrow’s son, Nicky, gave her COVID-19 at a holiday party.

She also got into a war of words with “Shahs of Sunset” star Golnesa Gharachedaghi, who called Dodd a racist for the way she was speaking to her on the Internet.

In a roundabout way, Dodd has also blamed “woke” culture for getting her fired from “RHOC,” telling Braunwyn Windham-Burke in text messages, “We’d still be on the show if you didn’t make things so dark and ugly and [bring] all that political ‘woke’ BS.”

“RHOC” isn’t the only gig Dodd has lost in recent months.

She was fired from Positive Beverage — the company she helped launch — in February for her hot takes on the COVID-19 pandemic, which she called “God’s way of thinning the herd” in April 2020. She apologized for her remarks but proceeded to step in it again months later by wearing a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat at her bachelorette party following the summer of Black Lives Matter protests.
