Obama urges voters to turn out for Joe Biden in campaign video ad

Former President Barack Obama got on the virtual stump for Joe Biden on Tuesday, urging his supporters to turn out for his former vice president in an election he called a “tipping point.”

Obama, speaking in a video that he tweeted, said he was encouraged by a “growing movement” for justice and progress on a number of issues facing Americans.

“This is really a tipping point. And that momentum only continues if we win this election,” Obama said

He added that in such a polarized political climate, voting matters more than ever.

“Participate and vote. It’s not always pretty. Trust me, I know. But it’s how, bit by bit, we’ve made progress over the generations. And it’s how your generation is going to change the game entirely,” he said.

Obama is set to headline a drive-in rally for Biden in Philadelphia on Wednesday, the first event he’ll appear at for his former vice president since the start of the campaign.
