Robert Couturier shows off Marie Antoinette trinket during Zoom gala

Let them eat canapes.

French architect Robert Couturier stole the spotlight at a Zoom gala by showing off his favorite trinket — an incense burner once owned by Marie Antoinette.

We’re told Couturier — who was being honored by the French Heritage Society — gave an impromptu tour of his upstate home, and took out the painted toile item.

“Guests oohed and aahed as he showed her initials, ‘M.A.,’ spelled out in flowers,” said a partygoer.

The event’s chairs were CeCe Black, Jean Shafiroff (wearing one of her signature ballgowns, long gloves and a French hat), Geoffrey Bradfield, Elisa Fredrickson and Ann Van Ness, along with French Heritage Society chair Elizabeth Stribling.

Also joining the fun were Couturier’s five well-groomed Shih Tzus.
