Bianca Rae is known for her love of animals, in particular, her dogs. She is a humanitarian, a philanthropist, and a rising star in news television.
So it’s not surprising to see Bianca being supported by her close friend — entertainment personality Sean Borg—who also shares her visions and goals to protect all animals, attending her event last Sunday.
“Gardens to the Rescue” was the second pet adoption event of its kind held by Bianca in Palm Desert. And it was just one of the many successful awareness campaigns produced by The Bianca Rae Foundation — Bianca’s charity organization, based in the Coachella Valley in California.
The occasion, held at The Garden’s in front of Saks Fifth Avenue
Ten dogs were given new homes on the day, which is a fantastic achievement. Meaning dog rescuers can focus on another ten dogs, and in the foundation’s opinion—that is, twenty lives saved. In addition to the ten dogs adopted, six households signed up to be dog foster families.
Bianca — one of the most loved ‘new faces’ on TV, told Newsbrig: “The day was such a success. Everybody’s support so touches me. We had amazing vendors and volunteers, including Mix 100.5 broadcasting, live from the event. It is the most beautiful joy seeing these dogs not having to go back to the shelter; they get to go home to a loving family.”
She continued: “Events like this are so important to let the community see dogs in a more comfortable environment to showcase their true personalities. Oh, it’s a happy day, so many lives saved!”
The rising Spectrum News 1 (So Cal) starlet — Rae and Trivago “brand ambassador” Borg have been friends for the past five years after meeting at the Palm Springs Film Festival when Bianca was hosting the red carpet arrivals for KESQ and CBS Local 2.
The pair immediately hit it off, sharing a love for all things “showbiz” and of course, their dogs! The television news anchor has a spaniel mix named Jack she rescued, and former “TMZ on TV” guy—Sean is the proud “dog-dad” to two Japanese Chins — Eli and Olive.
Since becoming friends, Bianca and Sean have attended many fashionable gatherings and fundraisers together — including the Steve Chase Awards.
In a recent interview on the subject of her charity, Bianca said: “We focus on kids and animals. For me, it’s under the same umbrella.”
In 2017 Bianca received the most significant honor a person can receive in the city of Palm Springs — a star on the prestigious “Palm Springs Walk of Stars,” awarded for her achievements in television and her many charitable contributions, which Sean attended.
