Among the actresses who are attending the 2019 Emmy Awards as nominees, several have been recognized earlier. A few are new additions, such as Rachel Brosnahan from the show ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’, while some have been there for several years, such as Julia Louis-Dreyfuss from ‘Veep.’ However, let’s have a look at the women who have been nominated for the first time in this year’s Emmys:

  • Sian Clifford:

Clifford worked in the Amazon/BBC sitcom ‘Fleabag’ as Claire in both its seasons. She has been nominated for the show’s second season under ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.’

  • Sarah Goldberg:

Goldberg, who plays the love interest of the hitman in the show ‘Barry,’ has been nominated for the category ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.’

  • Marin Hinkle:

Hinkle, the actress of the show ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,’ has been nominated for the category ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.’

  • Jodie Comer:

‘Killing Eve’ show star Comer has been nominated for the category ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.’

  • Mandy Moore:

Nominated under the category of ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in Drama Series,’ Mandy is famous for her role as Rebecca Pearson in ‘This Is Us.’

  • Sophie Turner:

Famous as Jean Grey in the ‘X-men’ movies, Sophie Turner has been nominated for Emmy awards under the category of ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.’

  • Gwendoline Christie:

Under the category of ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series,’ Gwendoline, who stars as ‘Brinne of Tarth’ in ‘Games of Thrones,’ has been nominated for first time in Emmys.

  • Fiona Shaw:

Shaw has been nominated for two categories i.e. for ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series’ for the series ‘Killing Eve’ and ‘Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series’ for ‘Fleabag’.

  • Julia Garner:

For her role as ‘Ruth Langmore’ in ‘Ozark,’ Julia has been nominated under the category of ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.’
