Warner Robins man shot in the face, recovering in the hospital

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A man is in The Medical Center, Navicent Health recovering after having been shot in the face, according to Warner Robins police.

Police say a 34-year-old Warner Robins man was at the intersection of Cox Drive and North Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Sunday when he was shot and abandoned his vehicle.

A passerby drove the victim to Houston Healthcare, where deputies met him. The victim was then taken to The Medical Center, Navicent Health in Macon for further treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.

Criminal Investigations and Forensics both responded to the scene. Interviews were conducted with the victim and a witness, who claim to be familiar with the shooter.

Warrants are being sought against the alleged shooter, according to police.
