‘Would Love Clarity’: Warriors’ Draymond Green Speaks Out After Unfair Ejection Against Knicks

WATCH: Draymond Green Brings Down Kawhi Leonard with Flagrant Foul

The Golden State Warriors‘ two-game winning streak came to an end tonight. They fell to the New York Knicks in an embarrassing fashion, losing 119-104. But they were hard done after Draymond Green was unfairly ejected from the game, which eventually led to the loss.

After the game, Draymond spoke to The Undefeated and expressed his displeasure about the officiating and their rules.

He said, “I’m just a bit confused. Officials can meet and make a decision on any call throughout the game, but when it comes to a technical that was clearly the wrong call due to an official assuming I was talking to him, when in fact I wasn’t, that can’t be overturned? Maybe it’s time to take a look at that rule. I would love clarity on why that’s the rule if, in fact, it is a rule.”

Draymond Green’s ejection lost the game for the Warriors

The former DPOY was given his second technical foul towards the end of the second quarter. He was deemed to have used profanity against the official. But later they clarified that Green was speaking to teammate James Wiseman. But this did not deter the ruling, and he was still tossed out of the game.

The Pool Report from the game revealed how official Ben Taylor blatantly said that he didn’t change their judgment despite the clarification. Green left the game with one minute to go for the half. The Warriors were trailing by six points at that stage, but they were slowly finding their strides after a terrible start.

But Green’s ejection killed the game for them. They weren’t able to get into their groove on offense and looked all over the place. Suddenly Curry had the sole responsibility to create, and this felt like a rewind of their first four games. They were also disorganized on defense, and the Knicks kept piling on the points.

It was a tough loss for the Warriors, especially after how good they looked in their previous two games. They now have to once again build momentum but it will arduous since they are going up against the Jazz who are on a seven-game winning streak right now.
